Yes yes yes yes. I think much of this can be easily achieved once we humble ourselves to the Glory of the Almighty. When our egos take a backseat to all the good stuff this world has to offer, suddenly abandoning our vices isn’t as challenging. It’s articles like this that give me hope.
Great article! Well done. I like the part about the hookup culture. In my opinion, hookup culture is one of the most overlooked factors in the mental health crisis facing adolescents and young adults. Dating apps offer access to a vast variety of potential partners, but their emphasis on quick and superficial connections prioritizes quantity over quality.
Parents need to have open conversations with their children about the differences between hooking up and making love and what healthy relationships look like.
You are absolutely correct! We have lost the meaning of partnership and substituted love and good morals with pleasure and degeneracy. All in the name of freedom. Thank you for also pointing out the responsibility that parents have in shaping the future of romantic relationships.
I came here just to say that this article was a fantastic read, and it captures a lot of the stuff I’ve been through the past couple of years, and the methods I’ve used to better myself as a person in general.
I would like to point out the “Tell your parents you love them” part in particular, as it is one usually most overlooked. The older we get and the less we interact with them as we need to get on with our lives we forget just how important such a statement is, and how much they have given to us in this world. So please go out and tell your parents you love them, it will mean the world to them.
